Krista Tippet, of NPR's "Speaking of Faith," has collected a really great kaleidoscope of Catholic voices in America. It's aptly named "The Beauty and the Challenge of Being Catholic."
Eighteen months ago, we started asking young women around the country to write about being Catholic--check out our original call here. By April, 2007, we were overwhelmed by over 100 submissions!
A year later, we're working on From the Pews in the Back: Young Women & Catholicism--a collection of 29 humorous, thought-provoking, and poignant stories by women 18-35 years old. Would you like to join our email list? Let us know! youngwomenandcatholicism@gmail.com.

We are two young women who met as graduate students at Harvard Divinity School. We grew up in Catholic families, came of age in Catholic communities, and graduated from Catholic universities.
Kate served in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and worked with the Sisters of Mercy at the McAuley Institute. Jen worked with religious education and social justice ministry at The Paulist Center in downtown Boston and just finished an internship in University Ministry at Marquette University.
Our own experiences as young Catholic women inspire this project.
